About Coin KickoffÂ
I created Coin Kickoff because I think crypto/web3 is too complicated.
My name is Ian Wright and I started dabbling in crypto back in 2017 when Bitcoin made it’s first bull run up to nearly $20,000 each.
I was lucky enough that I actually managed to make a little money at the time. I then promptly forgot about crypto.
I assumed the bubble had popped. I felt lucky I got out when I did.
It all felt like a giant scam and would eventually just disappear.
Then something strange happened.
In the fall of 2020 I started hearing people talking about Bitcoin and crypto again.
At first I dismissed it. Bitcoin was so 2017.
Plus, it was a scam anyway.
But eventually I changed my mind when Bitcoin’s price climbed above it’s previous all-time high.
In my mind this wasn’t supposed to happen.
I was and remain sceptical about the value of Bitcoin, crypto, web3 and the Blockchain.
But I no longer feel they’re going to go away anytime soon.
I even decided to invest again.
But unlike last time, I lost money. In a bull market!
Therefore, I decided to educate myself.
And that’s why I created Coin Kickoff.
The goal is simple: explain what various coins are, what they do and where to buy them.
All in a simple and easy to understand way.
And to be clear I have no idea what I’m doing. Nothing on this website should be taken as promoting any sort of investment.
I expect most coins will go to zero.
Think of Coin Kickoff as a starting off point to learn even more about the various crypto options out there.
