How to Buy Ethereum on MEXC

A Step-By-Step Guide on How to Buy Ethereum on MEXC

1. Register an Account

Visit the official MEXC website to create an account. Sign up with your email address or phone number to receive an account verification code.

2. Verify Your Account

If you want to buy Ether on the exchange with your credit card or via deposit, you must complete KYC verification first. But you can also skip verification and use third-party payment apps like MoonPay, Mercuryo, and Banxa to buy ETH.

Identity verification is pretty easy. Click on your profile icon to go to your “Profile” page. 

You will see “Primary KYC” under the “Identification” tab.

You have to complete both Primary KYC and Advanced KYC to buy Ether with credit/debit cards or through bank deposits. 

The process is quite simple: fill out the information form and upload a photo ID, like a passport or a driver’s license.

3. Buy Crypto

Click on the “Buy Crypto” tab. You can see it on your dashboard, right next to the MEXC Global icon in the upper-right corner of the page. 

You will see the automatic buy form. This is one of the easiest ways to buy cryptocurrency on MEXC. Just fill out the form by entering how much you want to spend in the “I will buy” column. Select the currency you want to spend (for example, EUR or USD) and the currency you want to buy. In our case, that will be Ether (ETH).

Depending on your location, you may not be able to buy ETH straight from the platform. If you don’t see ETH in the list, you can buy an asset like USDT and then convert it to ETH on the exchange market.

After you decide on the asset, choose a payment method. MEXC displays how much each payment channel charges as fees and often suggests the most profitable option.

Buying ETH can be more expensive than buying USDT. If that’s the case, buy USDT or another stable coin and later exchange it for ETH on the spot market.

After you fill out the form, hit “Continue” to see your order details.

Review your order details and click “Buy.”

You will be redirected to the payment channel page to sign in (or sign up). Enter your email address and click the “Continue” button.

Your Ethereum will be deposited to your MEXC wallet. If you buy a stablecoin like USDT, continue to the next step to trade it for ETH.

4. Trade USDT for ETH

You can see the “Trade” tab right next to the “Buy Crypto” tab on your dashboard. Click it to access the spot market. 

Don’t be intimidated by the dark colors and charts. Type ETHER or ETH in the search box on the right. It will display all the ETH pairings available on the exchange. Click on your selected pair, for example, ETH/USDT.

Right below the chart, you will find the order form for buying ETH.

Use the green slider to adjust how much USDT you want to exchange for ETH. The price is automatically set to execute your order quickly, but you can adjust it if you want to. Once you fill out the form, click “Buy ETH.”
