How to Buy Cardano on MEXC
If you want to buy Cardano (ADA) on MEXC, we have the right guide for you. But before we start, a word of warning: Users often prefer MEXC for its lax and non-mandatory KYC checks, but the platform has a few drawbacks.
MEXC has received a lot of criticism lately for preventing asset withdrawals from the platform based on user complaints on social media and other review platforms.
Therefore, we suggest you do your own research before purchasing ADA or any other digital assets on MEXC.
A Step-By-Step Guide on How to Buy Cardano on MEXC
1. Register an Account
To start, you’ll need a MEXC account, so if you don’t already have one, go to the official MEXC site and register. We suggest you use our link to open your account, as there are several fake MEXC scam websites created to drain your funds.
2. Verify Your Account
If you have digital assets you want to trade for ADA, you can skip verification. All you need to do is to transfer your funds to MEXC and use the spot trading interface to exchange them for Cardano.
However, while you can spot and margin trade on MEXC without identity verification, you can’t buy ADA on the exchange with fiat.
Like other exchange platforms, MEXC enforces KYC for fiat-to-crypto transactions. However, that only applies to cash deposits and direct credit card purchases. You can get away with a non-verified account if you use service providers like MoonPay, Mercuryo, and Banxa, which most people prefer.
Therefore, think of this step as optional: Click on your account name (your email address) and go to your profile.
In the “Identification” panel, hit “Primary KYC.”
Fill out the KYC form by submitting an ID and personal details.
3. Buy Crypto
Go to the “Buy Crypto” page to access the instant buy order form.
First, select your payment currency (for example, EUR) and the asset you want to receive for your money, which is Cardano (ADA). If Cardano is not among the offered assets, select a stablecoin like USDT or USDC. You can convert these assets to Cardano in the spot market.
There might be a minimum purchase amount, usually around 20-30 EUR, but the exact amount varies by the service provider. You can see which service provider offers the “Best Price,” though you are not obligated to use that. If you have an account on one of the other providers, or if one offers a better payment method, go for it.
Once you click “Continue,” you will see all the fees that apply to your purchase and how much cryptocurrency you will receive.
Hit “Buy” to access the service provider’s interface. You can complete your purchase by entering your email if you already have an account.
If you don’t have an account, you will have to sign up for one.
4. Trade USDT for ADA
Let’s say you bought USDT or another stablecoin to exchange it for ADA: What is the next step? Easy. First, click “Trade” and select “Spot.”
You can see the market options on the right. Search for ADA to see all the trading options and select the one you want.
If you bought USDT, select ADA/USDT market.
Scroll down to see the limit order panel: Now, you simply fill it out with how much you want to spend and the price you are willing to pay.
With limit orders, you get a fixed price, but you can still change it. Once you decide on the amount, hit “Buy ADA.”
