How to Buy Avalanche on HTX

Today, we’ve prepared a guide on how to buy Avalanche on HTX! As always, we recommend doing your own research before using a cryptocurrency exchange, including reading our HTX review and checking out independent news resources.

Without further ado, here’s how to buy Avalanche on HTX.

1. Register an Account on HTX

Go to the HTX website and sign up for an account.

2. Get Verified on HTX

HTX allows users to trade crypto assets without verifying their identities, but if you want to buy digital assets with fiat money, you must complete verification.

Once you log in, hit the profile menu on your dashboard and go to “Verification.”

Hit “Start.” On the next page, select the ID type you want to use and choose the issuing region.

You must upload a photo of one of the supported ID types, for example, an identity card, passport, or residence permit. 

Finally, complete face verification using your webcam. If you don’t have a webcam, you can use the HTX app on your phone to complete this step. 

When you complete all the steps, you will be verified in a few minutes. But this is only basic verification. You can complete advanced verification to have access to more trading products and higher deposit and withdrawal limits.

Click on “Advanced Verification” and answer the questions in the form. 

Finally, click “Next” and upload proof-of-funds and proof-of-address documents.

3. Deposit Funds/Crypto

Select “Balances” on your dashboard. On the left menu, click “Exchange.”

You can deposit fiat and digital currencies to your HTX account.

Fiat Deposit

Select your fiat currency from the assets list (use the search function to check out if HTX supports your local currency).

Click the “Deposit” button next to it and select your deposit method.

Fill out the form and click “Next.” 

If you select iDeal or Advcash Balance, you can log in to your account and approve your transaction. If you decide on a SEPA bank transfer, you will see the HTX SEPA information on the next screen.

Read the instructions carefully before you make the deposit. Always remember to include your reference number when you make a deposit.

Crypto Deposit

Do you have digital assets outside HTX? You can deposit them into your account as well.

From the assets list, select the crypto you want to move to your account and click “Deposit.” Let’s say you selected ETH. HTX will give you an Ethereum deposit address as a QR code.

Go to your external wallet and use this QR code as your withdrawal address to withdraw Ethereum to your HTX account.

Don’t use an Ethereum wallet address to transfer other cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin or USDT. Each digital asset must be deposited to its unique wallet address.

4. Navigate to the Relevant Screen to Buy

Go to the “Trade” menu on your dashboard and click on “Spot Trading.”

HTX will display all the AVAX pairings you can trade in the panel. For example, you can see a USDT/AVAX, BTC/AVAX, or ETH/AVAX market.

So if you have USDT, BTC, or ETH, it will be easy to continue because you can swap any of these currencies for AVAX.

If you have a different currency, for example, Polkadot, then you can’t trade it for AVAX directly. But you can trade Polkadot for USDT, and then use USDT to buy AVAX!

Why USDT? Simply because you can buy AVAX and almost any other cryptocurrency with USDT on most exchanges, including HTX.

The steps are the same: First, search for Polkadot (or whatever currency you have) pairings. Next, select the pairing you want to trade (for example DOT/USDT). Finally, scroll down and fill out the order form.

Of course, if you have USDT from the start, things will be much faster. Select USDT/AVAX from the list and go to the order form to adjust the amount of AVAX you want to buy.

HTX allows you to place market and limit orders. If you are a beginner, go with a market order, as you will receive the best price in the order book and your order will be executed immediately. With a limit order, you name your price but your transaction will not go through until the asset prices fall.

Hit “Buy” and you are done!
